The Benefit Bank is Here!

Spring 2008

Ursuline Senior Services is now able to offer The Benefit Bank services. Through The Benefit Bank, we have trained benefits counselors available to assist individuals with applying for a variety of Federal and State benefits. Some of the benefits with which we can assist are applications for Food Stamps, Medical Assistance benefits, the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program.

(LIHEAP), and voter registration. Beyond this, we can also help individuals apply for the pharmaceutical assistance programs PACE and PACENET, as well as complete the Property Tax and Rent Rebate applications. Read More

Planning for Excessive Heat
Extreme heat impacts everyone, however, older adults, those who live alone, and those confined to bed are at the greatest risk due to extreme heat. Individuals with existing conditions, as well as those on certain medications, are also more susceptible to heat exposure.
